Smiling, the shortest connection to a person

Laughter is healthy, laughter makes you feel good, laughter connects. If someone smiles at you, it improves your sense of well-being. This is because a smile equals acknowledgment, a smile is praise, a smile is approval.

However, the smile must be perceived as authentic, to have the desired effect. Only a genuine smile has the power to affect others. An artificial smile is intuitively perceived as such and sometimes produces the opposite effect. But if the smile comes from the heart, in response to something you see, hear or feel, then this is the physical expression of your spirit. When your spirit smiles, it inspires and creates positive energy. A childlike nature can be a significant help in this process. The great Master told us, "Become like children!". The joyous smile of a child never fails to encapture our hearts!

An honest, open smile is the shortest and most powerful way to connect with others, and can mark the beginning of a significant friendship or cooperation. Those who follow their intuition and smile at the world, experience a more beautiful and brighter life in return.
