Colour-Coded Activities – Shaping Everyday Life Consciously

Three colours for what really matters

Our lives are shaped not only by major decisions. What we focus on day after day, where we direct our attention and which small steps we repeatedly take can make a significant difference.

The colour-coded activities in PlusX2 make exactly this visible. They assign activities to three important areas of life and create a simple overview:

● Red – Relationships, family and enjoyment of life
● Blue – Success, finances and personal development
● Green – Health, energy and vitality

The aim is not to evaluate life or achieve a perfect balance every day. The colours provide orientation. They make visible where attention and time are going – and which area might benefit from a little more space again.

● Red – Relationships, family and enjoyment of life

Red represents the people and relationships that enrich life. A meaningful conversation, time with family, calling a friend, sincere appreciation, support, gratitude or forgiveness can all be red activities.

Relationships develop through attention, honesty, appreciation and genuine interest. Often, it is the small gestures of everyday life that create closeness and keep connections alive.

Red therefore serves as a reminder to consciously invest time and attention in people, relationships and shared experiences.

● Blue – Success, finances and personal development

Blue represents everything that shapes the future and enables development. This includes professional activities as well as learning, further education, financial planning, projects, new ideas and developing personal abilities.

A blue activity might be an important conversation, working on a project, organising personal finances, learning a new skill, planning an undertaking or putting an idea into action.

The size of an individual activity is not what matters. Many developments result from small steps consistently taken in the same direction.

Success begins where a vision becomes a conscious action.

● Green – Health, energy and vitality

Green directs attention towards personal wellbeing. Movement, sufficient sleep, recovery, fresh air, good food, time in nature or conscious breaks can all be green activities.

Here too, it is often not one major measure but many small habits that shape everyday life. A walk, a training session, sufficient rest or consciously allowing time for recovery can already make a difference.

A mindful relationship with nature and respectful treatment of animals can also form part of this area of life. Green reminds us that health, energy and quality of life deserve attention.

Making visible instead of judging

There will be days when one colour clearly dominates. On other days, activities will be distributed more evenly. Both are completely normal. The colour-coded activities are not a scoring system and do not prescribe what a day should look like.

Their value lies in clarity. Looking at which colours shape everyday life over a longer period makes it easier to recognise where plenty of attention is already being invested and which area of life may have slipped out of view.

A simple reflection can help: What did I do today for my relationships and enjoyment of life? What moved my personal, professional or financial development forward? What did I do for my health and energy?

The goal is not perfection, but conscious direction.

The colour-coded activities make visible what shapes everyday life. Over time, individual actions form a clearer picture of life as a whole – creating the opportunity to choose the next steps more consciously.
